Users & access

Invite your colleagues and give each one the right level of access. You manage this from the Users page.

The three access levels

Everyone in your organization has one of three levels:

  • Viewer — can look at everything (products, settings, history) but can't change anything. Good for colleagues who only need to check things.
  • Editor — everything a viewer can do, plus create and edit products and change branding. Can't manage the team.
  • Admin — everything an editor can do, plus invite people, change their access level, and remove them.

Access is set per person and can be changed at any time. These levels only control what your team can do in the admin — they never affect the configurator your customers use.

Inviting someone

  1. Open Users and choose Invite.
  2. Enter their email address and pick an access level — viewer, editor or admin.
  3. You get a one-time invitation link. Send that link to your colleague yourself (by email, chat, however you like). CPQ Builder does not send it for you, so you stay in control of who gets in.
  4. They open the link, choose a password and their name, and land on your product list — ready to go.

An invitation link is valid for 7 days. You can withdraw an unused invite with one click before then.

Changing or removing access

On the Users page you can change someone's access level, or remove them entirely. Removing someone ends their access immediately.

Signing in safely

Each person can switch on two-step verification from their own Security page, using any authenticator app (for example 1Password, Bitwarden or Google Authenticator). We recommend every admin turns it on.

You stay signed in across visits. Signing out ends the session on that device.
