Your organization

Your organization is your own space in CPQ Builder. It has its own branding, products, team and (optionally) Odoo connection. Organizations are completely separate — no one outside yours can see your products or your customers.

Getting your organization

A new organization is created with two things: a name (shown to your team) and a short web-address handle used in links. Once it exists, the first administrator signs in and sets it up — branding, team and products. You only do this setup once.

If you don't have access yet, ask whoever set up your organization to invite you — see Users & access.

Branding

Open Branding to make the configurator look like your company. Changes take effect the next time a configurator page is opened. A live preview on the page updates as you type, so you see the result before you save.

Upload your logo (PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP, up to 5 MB). It appears at the top of the configurator, next to the product name. A transparent background looks best. No logo? Your organization's name is shown as text instead.

Colours

Four colours drive the look:

  • Primary — your main brand colour. Paints the buttons and the highlight on a selected option.
  • Secondary — used for hover states and links.
  • Ink — the main text colour.
  • Surface — the page background behind the configurator. The top bar and side panels are tinted automatically from it, so a cool brand gets cool surroundings and a warm brand gets warm. Keep it light; the content cards stay white.

Fonts

Pick three fonts: a heading font (product name and step titles), a body font (everything else), and a numbers font, which is always a monospace so prices line up neatly in columns. Mixing a characterful heading with a clean body font reads as premium.

Button label

By default the configurator's main button says "Add to cart". If you sell on quotation, change it to something like "Request a quote" — it then applies to every product in your organization. Leave it empty to keep the default.

Your Odoo connection (optional)

If you run an Odoo webshop you can connect it once and reuse it for every product. You then publish a product straight onto an Odoo product page, and configured orders flow back into Odoo. This is covered in Publishing to your shop.

You don't need Odoo to use CPQ Builder — you can also embed the configurator on any website.
