Troubleshooting
Quick answers to the things that come up most.
A product link says "not found"
The product is still a draft. Set it to active on the product page — drafts are intentionally hidden from customers.
The Install-on-Odoo option is missing
Installing onto Odoo needs an Odoo connection on your organization; set it up first (see Your organization). To embed on your own website instead, generate an embed key on the product's Overview — that doesn't need Odoo.
An image doesn't show in the configurator
Re-open the image card and check the upload finished — a saved image shows a green confirmation. If you pasted a link instead of uploading, make sure it starts with http:// or https:// and is publicly reachable.
A price or weight looks wrong on a parametric product
Open the Builder and check the formula for that value. The live preview on the right shows the result for the current inputs, and any unrecognised name in a formula is flagged in red. The Test prices helper (in the pricing block) pins a known price and turns red the moment a change breaks it.
A customer can't pick a combination
That's usually a rule. Check the product's Rules (option-picking) — an "exclude" rule greys out a combination on purpose and shows the reason. Loosen or remove the rule if it's too strict.
A manufacturing order isn't created in Odoo
Open the product's Install on Odoo card and look for the make-to-order warning. Click Enable MTO to make the product storable and switch on the replenish-on-order route. Without that, confirming a sale doesn't start production.
Checking what happened with Odoo
Every exchange with your Odoo is recorded. Open the Sync log for your organization to see what was sent and, if something failed, the exact message Odoo returned. It's the first place to look when an Odoo step goes quiet.
Still stuck?
Note the product, what you did, and what you expected — then contact your CPQ Builder administrator. The Sync-log message above is the single most useful thing to include.
